A new Mediterranean restaurant, Kabsa Grill, is now open in Denton.

The menu includes bowls and wraps with several protein kabob options, such as lamb, chicken and beef. Customers can also order gyros, falafel and hummus.


Additionally, Kabsa Grill serves milk teas and smoothies.The Momo Masala

Napali restaurant The Momo Masala opened in Denton in mid-October, a company representative said.

The restaurant’s menu specializes in Himalayan cuisine, and offers skewers, fried rice and momo, Nepali-style dumplings with various fillings.Coming Soon

Japanese restaurant Sushi Kai plans to open on West University Drive in Denton next month, a company representative said.

The restaurant will specialize in Japanese cuisine, and the menu will feature sushi, hibachi and ramen, the representative said.Back Nine

A Back Nine indoor golf simulator is scheduled to open later this year in Denton, owner James Price said.

The Back Nine Golf is a chain of golf simulators, offering booths where golfers can practice their game indoors in a simulated environment, according to the company’s website.


The Denton Back Nine will feature a roughly 140-square-foot putting green and up to four bays.

The business also offers multiple different membership packages. Non-members can rent golf bays for $50 per hour per bay, Price said.What's next

Waffle House

Breakfast chain Waffle House plans to build a new restaurant in Denton, according to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.


Construction of the new restaurant could begin in November, per the filing, and wrap up in April 2026. The projected cost for the restaurant, which will total 1,840 square feet, is $300,000.

Waffle House serves all-day breakfast including waffles, hashbrown bowls and omelets. The menu also includes burgers and patty melts.
