1. US 75 widening project
As of Nov. 20, the Texas Department of Transportation is nearly finished with the final tasks of the US 75 widening project. The project, which began in 2012, widened US 75 to eight main lanes as well as three frontage roads in each direction from the Sam Rayburn Tollway to Wilmeth Road and to four main lanes in each direction and two frontage lanes each direction from Wilmeth to Telephone Road. All main lanes from Wilmeth to SH 121 are now open. However, crews are working to complete striping along the roadway and other smaller improvements. Drivers should expect lane closures and are advised to pay close attention to roadside signage.
