Editor's note: This story has been updated to mention the interlocal agreement approved by McKinney City Council Nov. 19. During the Nov. 19 McKinney City Council special meeting an interlocal agreement was approved for the construction of Trinity Falls Parkway between Laud Howell Parkway and FM 543. This project will widen Trinity Falls Parkway from a two-lane road to a four-lane road. According to the agreement, construction must begin within 45 days from Nov. 19; however, McKinney Development Services expects construction to begin in November. The project will cost approximately $10 million and will be funded through by the city of McKinney and Trinity Falls developer, which will each contribute $5 million. Construction is expected to be complete by the end of 2019.
