This year the city of Colleyville will bring an expanded service to city residents to help them cope with falling leaves: curbside leaf recycling.

There will be four scheduled collection dates, including one to recycle Christmas trees. All recycled leaf collection days are scheduled on Saturdays.

The program is being provided in partnership with Progressive Waste at no additional cost to residents.

To participate, residents only need to place bagged leaves at the curb on a scheduled Saturday. There is no limit to how many bags can be collected; however, leaf recycling only applies to leaves. With the exception of Christmas trees, no other trash or organic waste can be accommodated on those days-and anything other than leaves will be left at the curb.

Organic waste includes tree trimmings, grass clippings, and any yard waste other than leaves. Any bag is acceptable. Progressive trucks will start collecting leaf bags at 8 a.m.

Leaf recycling dates for this season are:
• Saturday, Nov. 14
• Saturday, Nov. 28
• Saturday, Dec. 12
• Saturday, Jan. 2 (leaves and Christmas trees)
