In response to public interest, Colleyville City Council is considering construction of a community garden and are asking for resident input to gauge the level of potential participation. To garner that input, the city is conducting an online survey now through Sept. 20. In a presentation to the City Council this spring, staff provided a scenario to establish a community garden in Colleyville. Specifics include: •  Number of plots: 33 •  Plot size: 20’ x 4’ •  Material for plot construction: wood •  Water source: city water (tap) •  Cost to adopt a plot: $30 •  Work/project days: monthly •  Cost: Estimated at $2,500-5,000 to install a water system capable of providing the ability for gardening participants to hand water each plot For more information call 817-503-1182 or email [email protected].
