Grapevine resident Daizha Petersma said she dreamed of owning a spa since the age of 16. In 2012 that dream became a reality when she and her husband, Kelly Wood, started Le Spa Fit in Colleyville to offer users an alternative approach to beauty, health and wellness, Petersma said. “Our goal has always been to have a human optimization studio,” Petersma said. “Basically where we have all of these things that just optimize our health, our body and our lives.” The estimated 2,000-square-foot studio at 4209 Colleyville Blvd., Ste. B, offers a variety of services, including cosmetic laser treatments, strength conditioning with personal trainers, yoga classes and orthopedic massage therapies. For customers who are short on time but still want to work out, Le Spa Fit specializes in whole-body vibration therapy utilizing equipment that allows the body to reap numerous health benefits in minutes, Wood and Petersma said. “The vibration causes our muscles to contract so it can increase the muscle activation and shorten our workouts,” Petersma said. “So a 15-minute program can be equivalent to an hour to an hour and a half at the gym. It’s pretty impressive.” Wood said time is of the essence in everyone’s lives, and the alternative methods offered at the studio can be a solution to keeping one in optimal health while only dedicating a short amount of time. “We both have lost 30-plus pounds and are in the best shape of our lives,” Wood said. “This is what we are sharing with everyone else [at Le Spa Fit]—our lifestyle.” The duo said they love the community in which they live and work and are looking to not only expand their offerings at their current location, but to possibly open a location in Southlake in the future. “I hope to continue to grow,” Petersma said. “Everything that is in here we have utilized for ourselves or our families. It’s something we truly believe in.” Le Spa Fit 4209 Colleyville Blvd., Ste.
