The Plano Parks and Recreation Department is hosting this family event tonight, Dec. 4, from 6-10 p.m. along 15th Street in downtown Plano.
The city's annual tree lighting ceremony begins at 7 p.m. at 901 E. 15th St. in Haggard Park. Children can send a letter to "Jolly Old Saint Nick” via Santa’s Mailbox near the Interurban Railway Museum. People can also visit Santa and Mrs. Claus at their house on J Place from 6:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m.
Food vendors will be available selling corn dogs, funnel cakes, kettle corn and hot and cold drinks. Downtown Plano restaurants and stores will also stay open late for the event.
