The event raised $21,646 and more than 400 toys this year for
Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County, said spokesperson Wendy Ellis of The Village at Fairview, where Saturday's event took place. The money raised came from candy cane sales, activities and donations, Ellis said.
Ellis said more than 15,000 people attended this year's event, according to traffic counters.
More than 200 workers and 208 performers volunteered their time, Ellis said, likely saving event organizers more than $10,000 in expenses.
