The Cypress and Cy-Fair area saw a variety of new businesses open in October.

Aleyotl Coffee & Bakery

The Mexican-inspired cafe offers baked goods and drink options including horchata matcha, Duvalín latte, Mazapán latte and Café de Olla.

"Our concept is inspired by our roots in Michoacán and Mexico City," Co-owner and barista Yanitzi Duarte said. "The name 'Aleyotl' combines the inspiration of the alebrije with 'yollotl,' the Nahuatl word for heart, representing 'the heart of alebrije.'"

The Peach Cobbler Factory Cy-Fair

The dessert shop franchise offers cobblers, banana pudding, cheesecake in a cup, cookies, churros and more. 

"Opening The Peach Cobbler Factory has a very personal meaning for me. My connection to peach cobbler began long before I ever considered becoming a franchise owner," Tiffanie Johnson, owner of The Peach Cobbler Factory Cy-Fair, said. "My late grandmother made peach cobbler for our family, and it was something that brought us together around the table. Some of my favorite memories are connected to those family gatherings and her cobbler."
