Eight shops in the Cy-Fair area are participating in Houston’s 2019 Holiday Shopping Card event, which runs from Oct. 24-Nov. 3 and benefits the American Cancer Society. Each fall, more than 550 retailers in the Greater Houston area participate in this event, during which customers can take advantage of 20% discounts and give back by purchasing a $75 Holiday Shopping Card, 100% of proceeds from which will directly benefit the American Cancer Society. In 2018, more than 9,000 Houstonians purchased the Holiday Shopping Card, and over the past 22 years, the women of VICTORY—a volunteer fundraising branch of the American Cancer Society—have raised more than $16.5 million through the program, according to the organization’s website.
