On May 28, Montgomery City Council approved a feasibility study for a planned H-E-B location that will include a gas station and car wash.
In a nutshell
H-E-B owns a 32.42-acre tract of land at the southeast corner of Hwy. 105 and FM 2854, as previously reported by Community Impact. The grocer contacted the city in March about proceeding with the development of that site. According to the May 28 agenda packet:
- 16.75 acres would be used for an H-E-B location
- 15.22 acres of land would be developed by another developer, with the future commercial developments consisting of detention ponds and commercial pad sites
- Estimated to cost $282,059 total, including $140,000 in public infrastructure costs
- Expected to bring in $45,600 annually in tax revenue
