According to the unofficial early voting results from Montgomery County Elections:
- In the race for Position 3, Hoisington has 60.34%, or 2,908 votes, while Nick Vonas has 39.66%, or 1,911 votes
- For the Position 4 election, Ken Blevins has 53.28%, or 2,566 votes, while John J. Kessler has 27.06%, or 1,303 votes. Jerry L. O'Neal had 19.66%, or 947 votes
- In the Position 5 race, John Sellars has 58.57%, or 2,812 votes, while Kim Attaya has 31.83%, or 1,528 votes. Kristin Guardino had 9.60%, or 461 votes
Candidates did not reply to a request for comment prior to press time.
The race for Conroe municipal judge is headed to a runoff, according to unofficial voting results from Montgomery County Elections.
Tanya Maddux has 49.33%, or 2,364 votes, while Jay Gross has 27.07%, or 1,297 votes and James Holian has 23.60%, or 1,131 votes.
"[My opponents] both ran vigorously for the race, we all did, and I'm thankful for the people that were on our team, that helped us, and maybe we will have the opportunity to serve the city of Conroe," Gross said.
Maddux did not reply to a request for comment prior to press time.

- In the race for Position 3, Hoisington has 58.08%, or 2,135 votes, while Nick Vonas has 41.92%, or 1,541 votes
- For the Position 4 election, Ken Blevins has 52.53%, or 1,923 votes, while John J. Kessler has 28.54%, or 1,045 votes. Jerry L. O'Neal has 18.93%, or 693 votes
- In the Position 5 race, John Sellars has 57.93%, or 2,121 votes, while Kim Attaya has 32.91%, or 1,205 votes. Kristin Guardino has 9.15%, or 335 votes
- In the race for Conroe municipal judge, Tanya Maddux has 48.99%, or 1,791 votes, while Jay Gross has 28.09%, or 1,027 votes and James Holian has 22.92%, or 838 votes
What’s on the ballotConroe voters are deciding several city races in the May 2 election, including three City Council seats and the municipal judge race. None of the incumbents for Conroe City Council filed for reelection.
For Conroe City Council Place 3, voters are choosing between Kristin Hoisington and Nick Vonas. This seat was held by Harry Hardman.
The Place 4 race includes Ken Blevins, John J. Kessler and Jerry L. O’Neal. This seat was held by Mayor Pro Tem Howard Wood.
In Place 5, candidates include Kim Attaya, Kristin Guardino and John Sellars. This seat was held by Marsha Porter.
The Conroe municipal judge race includes Jay Gross, James Holian and Tanya Maddux.

Across Montgomery County, 21,253 voters cast ballots during the April 20-28 early voting period for the May 2 election, as
previously reported. That included 18,052 in-person ballots and 3,201 mail-in ballots.
Some context
Conroe City Council members help set policy, approve the city budget and vote on city projects, contracts and development-related items.
The municipal judge presides over Conroe Municipal Court, which handles city ordinance violations, Class C misdemeanor cases and other matters under the court’s jurisdiction, per the city of Conroe website.

Totals from ballots cast on election day have not yet been released. Polls closed at 7 p.m., although voters who were in line at that time were still able to cast ballots.
