Thrust Flight now offering aviation training with Aircraft and Powerplant Mechanic School in Conroe

“Aviation doesn’t just rely on pilots; it’s powered by a team of skilled professionals on the ground and behind the scenes,” Patrick Arnzen, CEO and founder of Thrust Flight, said via news release. “Our mission is to open doors across the entire aviation workforce, from the cockpit to the control room to the hangar.”

The specifics

Located at Conroe-North Houston Regional Airport, the new Thrust Institute of Maintenance welcomed its first class of A&P mechanic students July 16, according to the release.

The 12-month FAA program prepares students to earn their Airframe and Powerplant certification, a credential in high demand across commercial airlines, independent maintenance organizations and charter and cargo operators.

Unlike traditional programs that take 20 to 28 months, Thrust Flight’s accelerated model trains students in one year through hands-on experience with real aircraft components, one-on-one instruction and small, 15-student cohorts. Classes offered include day and night options to provide flexibility for working professionals, according to the release.
