Conroe ISD will provide free and reduced-price meals to qualifying children in the 2019-20 school year, according to a press release.
When school begins Aug. 14, CISD will begin distributing letters to households in the district about applying for free and reduced-price meals.
To qualify, a child must meet one of the four requirements: living in a household with an income at or below the eligibility levels; living in a household receiving the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families or the Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations; considered a foster child, homeless, runaway, migrant or displaced by a declared disaster; or being enrolled Head Start or Even Start.
