170-acre Rockrose Ranch brings modern manufactured home community to Willis

Rockrose Ranch at Lake Conroe, a 700-home community, will celebrate its grand opening March 25 in Willis, developer Inspire Communities announced in a March 16 news release.

The community spans 170 acres at 11848 Calvary Road, just west of I-45, and features a gated active adult village as well as a section of homes open to all ages, according to the release. Rockrose Ranch has prices starting in the $110,000s to $220,000s and floor plans ranging from two to three bedrooms, two bathrooms, front porches and open-concept living areas.

According to its website, Inspire Communities claims to provide affordable, modern manufactured homes for families.

“Our goal for Rockrose Ranch is to redefine housing for lifestyle communities. The structural quality of manufactured housing today far exceeds traditional site-built homes, and the finishes of new manufactured homes are virtually indistinguishable,” Inspire Communities CEO Rick Andreen said in the release.

Residents will also be able to enjoy 3 miles of paved walking trails around lakes, acres of open space, a dog park, a playground and a family swimming pool. The active adult village also includes an amenity island with a heated lap pool, fitness center, clubhouse, ballroom, pickleball courts and bocce ball courts, according to the release. A lifestyle director will also be on-site to coordinate programming for the active-adult residents.

During the grand opening, guests can tour six fully furnished model homes from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. and enjoy activities, such as prize giveaways, a barbecue lunch and raffles. Visitors can also stop by the Welcome Center 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday.
