Leadership Montgomery County relocates to Conroe/Lake Conroe Chamber building

Leadership Montgomery County officials confirmed the relocation of its facility in an email Feb. 23. After residing in an office in The Woodlands at 2001 Timberloch Place for five years, Leadership Montgomery County relocated to the Conroe/Lake Conroe Chamber building in January.

Executive Director Sarah Rhea said the relocation was an opportunity given by the Conroe/Lake Conroe Chamber to have a central location where the Leadership Montgomery County could serve the entire community.

Leadership Montgomery County is a non-profit organization started by the Conroe/Lake Conroe Chamber as Leadership Conroe in 1987, officials said.

When The Woodlands Area Chamber joined in 1995, it became Leadership Montgomery County. Soon after, the nonprofit became its own organization.

The nonprofit is in partnership with six chambers in Montgomery County including the Conroe/Lake Conroe Chamber, The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce, Greater East Montgomery County Chamber, Greater Magnolia Parkway Chamber of Commerce, Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce and the Montgomery County Hispanic Chamber.

“It’s great to be in the Conroe Chamber building since this is really where it all began,” Rhea said.
