With the fall season quickly approaching, a number of events have been organized in the Montgomery County and Greater Houston area. Events include seasonal festivals, music festivals and holiday shopping markets.
Annual community festival September 16th
Coat of Many Colors Ministries hosts its sixth annual community festival fundraiser. The festival features live music from Archie Bell, door prizes and food prepared by local restaurant Fish Tales. CMCM helps people achieve self-sufficiency through education and employment training programs. 6-10 p.m. $10 (general admission), Free (children age 7 and younger). Montgomery Wine & Music Fest September 17th
This annual wine-tasting event is held in Montgomery’s historic downtown district. The event features wine and craft beer as well as live music on two stages. Musical artists include headliner Jason Boland & the Stragglers along with Josh Fuller and other local talent. Vendors and concessions are on-site and attendees may also shop local businesses, including antiques, boutiques and restaurants. 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Free (admission), $30 (wine package). Fall festival and corn maze September 24th through Nov. 13
P-6 Farms hosts its sixth annual fall festival in Montgomery. The festival runs for seven weeks and includes two corn mazes on 8 acres of land, a large pumpkin patch, rubber duck races, a hayride and slides. Although weekdays are reserved for school field trips, Saturdays and Sundays are open to the public. 10 a.m.-7 p.m. $12.50 (attendees age 3 and older), free (attendees age 2 and younger).
