Harris County Flood Control District is working to repair infrastructure and remove debris in creeks, channels and bayous throughout the county after Hurricane Harvey. HCFCD Director of Operations Matthew Zeve said the flood control district has assessed 8,000 points of repair throughout the 2,500 miles of channels it oversees.
HCFCD has produced an
interactive map tool showing where the identified points of repair are located throughout the county, including areas along Cypress Creek and Bear Creek. Photos are attached to each point on the map.
HCFCD also provides a
flood education mapping tool to show the location of flood-prone areas in the county.
