Piada Italian Street Food will open in Plano on Dallas Parkway this fall Piada Italian Street Food is expected to open in mid-November at the 3309 Dallas Parkway building in Plano. Hookline brings Gulf Coast cuisine to Plano’s Granite Park Hookline opened on Sept. 20 at 5872 SH 121, Ste. 104, Plano. The gulf coast-styled restaurant serves dishes such as a barbecue shrimp and grits plate as well as scallops and country ham. The restaurants will also have an in-house bar serving beer and cocktails. “At Hookline we have been influenced by the cuisine melting pot from the Carolinas to the Texas Gulf. We have always specialized in the highest quality seafood, meat and produce that we can procure,” Del Sur partner John Tuma said in a statement. The restaurant is owned by Del Sur Restaurant Group, the same management company behind Dallas-based Hook Line & Sinker and Urban Taco. Aaron Nelson, former executive sous chef of Bird Cafe in Fort Worth, will head the kitchen as executive chef.
Horchow Finale in Plano to close along with 9 other Neiman Marcus-affiliated stores As part of the closing of 10 Neiman Marcus-affiliated stores, Horchow Finale at 3400 Preston Road, Ste. 210, Plano, will close to the public on Jan. 15. The home-decor retail store offers both indoor and outdoor furniture, as well as lighting and bedding. The other nine stores to be be shuttered by the Neiman Marcus company are Last Call stores, the company’s discount-inventory stores, located throughout the United States. The 241 employees at the soon-to-close stores will receive severance packages and will be considered for positions at other Neiman Marcus stores, the company announced in a statement. www.horchow.com
