New coffee and taco spot from Veracruz and Medici Roasting opens, plus more business news from downtown Austin

Here are five new business and development updates in and around Austin's downtown.

Littlefield's, a new coffee and taco spot from partners Veracruz All Natural and Medici Roasting, will open in October at 2401 Winsted Lane, Austin. Medici coffee can be purchased starting Oct. 12, and Veracruz tacos will be on sale beginning Oct. 22. Littlefield's will feature a walk-up order window and outdoor seating.

This will be the sixth location for Veracruz, which began as a food truck in East Austin. Cafe Medici has six other locations, including one about a mile from the new spot on West Lynn Street in Clarksville. www.veracruzallnatural.com, www.mediciroasting.com

The Well, a new healthy breakfast and lunch restaurant, will open in October at 440 W. Second St., Austin. The restaurant comes from Nova Hospitality, the group that also operates downtown restaurants TenTen and Devil May Care. It will open with to-go service only. Manifold Real Estate broke ground on a new office building in late September at 1608 W. Fifth St., Austin—between Donn's Depot piano bar and El Arroyo restaurant. The 45,600-square-foot space will feature four levels of underground parking, and 75% of the building has been leased. Tenants will include Corridor Title, OakPoint Real Estate and Studio8 Architects. Construction is expected to last 14 months, with the offices opening in winter 2021. www.manifoldre.com

Cascade Condominiums, a new 113-unit condo development at 2500 Longview St., Austin, broke ground in September. Prices will range from $280,000-$635,000 per condo at the site, which is being developed by Pearlstone Partners and marketed by Prospect Real Estate. Ascension Seton and UT Health Austin announced Sept. 24 the launch of a new digestive care clinic, Digestive Health, 1601 Trinity St., Bldg. A, Ste. 9.901S, Austin. The new clinic will be led by Dr. Deepak Agrawal, chief of gastroenterology and hepatology at Dell Medical School at the University of Texas, and Dr. F. Paul "Tripp" Buckley, an associate professor at Dell Medical School's Department of Surgery and Perioperative Care.
