Gotham, a bistro inspired by New York City, closed Oct. 16 at 1700 E. Second St., Austin, after 18 months in business. Owners Nick and Jessica Goulding of Cafe Malta in South Austin said the restaurant “fell short of the foot traffic we needed to keep the wolf from the door,” in a post on Gotham’s website.
