These Central Austin-based businesses and organizations are celebrating anniversaries.
1. Capital Metro celebrated its 35th anniversary July 1. The local area public transportation agency was established by a voter referendum Jan. 19, 1985, funded in part by a 1% sales tax levied on members of its service area. Since the onset of the pandemic, Capital Metro has been partnering with local organizations to deliver meals to those in need. On July 8, the agency announced it delivered its 500,000th meal. 2. Crow Bar, which is currently open for to-go cocktails, growlers and wine, will celebrate 10 years in the community this summer. The locally owned bar is located at 3116 S. Congress Ave., Austin. www.crowbaraustin.com
3. Michi Ramen celebrated its five-year anniversary of its South Austin location at 3005 South Lamar Blvd., Ste. D-114B, on June 17. The ramen spot originally started in 2012 as a food truck and now has three brick-and-mortar locations.
