Lobos Hospitality and Boardroom Hospitality launched Austin Sports Club downtown on Sept. 10. Designed by PETERMAX Co., the club brings American sports history and flair to locals with brunch, dinner and craft cocktails.
Context
Lobos Hospitality, the team behind Toasty Badger, Powder Room and Manny’s, debuted the club alongside Boardroom Hospitality. Boardroom is owned by NBA alum Kevin Durant, CEO and co-founder Rich Kleiman and Airbnb co-founder Joe Gebbia.
“I’m thrilled to partner with Kevin Durant and Lobos to open Austin Sports Club downtown,” Gebbia stated in a news release. “We spent considerable time designing the space, curating the menu, and refining the ambiance to create the perfect place to watch the game with friends and family.”
On the menu
At Austin Sports Club, patrons can find American dishes such as:
Chilled mini lobster rolls, served with dijonnaise, celery, chive and tarragon
Cacio e pepe arancini, made with tomato jam, basil pesto and truffle
ASC Burger, featuring an 8 oz steak blend, oxtail jam, white American cheese, lettuce, confit garlic aioli, pickled shallot and shoestring fries
Whole grilled branzino with corn puree, succotash salad, tomato beurre blanc
Austin Sports Club also serves up various cuts of meat, including a prime filet, grass-fed filet and prime ribeye.
The drink menu
The club offers a selection of original handcrafted cocktails, as well as drinks inspired by iconic moments. For handcrafted drinks, patrons can order the Wimbledon ‘75, which is made with Empress Indigo gin, peach, bergamot, lemon and sparkling wine.
For additional options, Austin Sports Club serves beer, wine, low- and non-alcoholic drinks, coffee, juice and tea.

The Austin Sports Club interior was inspired by the aesthetic of historic athletic clubs.
“The space pulls from the athletics of the ’60s and ’70s, with vintage locker rooms, museum-style trophy cases, and materials that feel collected over time,” Peter Maxwell Bowden, founder of PETERMAX Co., said in a news release. “It is not a sports bar, but a cultural space that celebrates competition, camaraderie, and the human connection we all have to sport.”

Austin Sports Club is open daily for dinner service and on Saturday-Sunday for weekend brunch. Patrons can head to the club’s website for reservations and premium game-day seating, which requires a food and beverage minimum.
