Leander ISD board of trustees received an update on the instructional materials selection process for the 2022-23 school year at the Sept. 22 meeting.
This school year, the district will be looking to adopt the following materials: K-12 social studies, psychology, sociology and financial literacy, American Sign Language I-IV, Chinese I-IV, AP U.S. history and AP calculus AB & BC. These materials will be for implementation in fall 2023.
Contrary to the 2021-22 school year, LISD does not have any resources a part of Texas Education Agency Regularly Scheduled Proclamation on the adoption schedule for this school year.
“All of the resources that we’re looking to consider for this year are due to needs at the local level,” Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum Jennifer Collins said at the meeting.
