Cedar Park
1. Anderson Mill Road realignment The city of Cedar Park is realigning Anderson Mill Road between RM 1431 and Lime Creek Road and constructing it as a four-lane and two-lane roadway with turn lanes at various driveways and intersections. Phase 1 of the project consists of reconstructing Anderson Mill to become a two-lane roadway in each direction from RM 1431 to Lime Creek along with turn lanes at intersections. Phase 2 would add two lanes on the north end of the project and two lanes on Anderson Mill through the Deer Creek Ranch neighborhood. Construction on the $7.9 million project began in January and is expected to last about 15 months.
2. New Hope Drive extension The city plans to extend New Hope Drive from Cottonwood Creek Trail to Ronald Reagan Boulevard. City staff is in the process of acquiring right of way for the $10.8 million project, and construction is anticipated to begin in June and take approximately 12 months to complete.
3. RM 1431 Gap Project In February, the Texas Department of Transportation began a $12.8 million project to expand RM 1431 from four to six lanes between Market Street and Cottonwood Creek Trail. The project is meant to match the six-lane East Whitestone Boulevard pass-through project that runs from Market to Sam Bass Road, which was completed by the city of Cedar Park, Williamson County and the state transportation agency in 2016. Construction began in late February and is expected to be complete in late 2018 or early 2019, according to TxDOT.
