Despite coronavirus-related closures starting in March, Leander saw a 25.02% year-over-year increase in sales tax revenue for the month. Cedar Park experienced a 2.49% year-over-year increase.
According to the most recent data from the Texas comptroller of public accounts, Leander’s sales tax allocation during March was $704,455.86—up $140,993.46, or 25.02%, from the March 2019 total of $563,462.40.
Cedar Park’s sales tax allocation during March was $2,716,077.15—up $66,240.55, or 2.49%, from the March 2019 total of $2,649,936.50.
