A second area location of Umiya Sushi will open in the summer in the Shops at Crystal Falls shopping center at 3550 Lakeline Blvd., Leander. The restaurant will serve Japanese foods including sushi, and the menu will be similar to its Cedar Park location. A suite number has not yet been determined. Owner Jordan Gallimore launched his Cedar Park-based business Pet Wants Austin on Jan. 5. The business, which does not yet have a storefront, offers delivery of dog and cat food to Cedar Park, Round Rock, Georgetown, Pflugerville and Hutto. On Feb. 24, Martha Olivares celebrates the five-year anniversary of her business, Regia Bakery Panaderia, located at 1907 S. US 183, Leander. The business sells cakes, Mexican pastries, desserts and coffee.
Rob Schoenfeld was chosen to be the athletic coordinator and head football coach for Tom Glenn High School , located at 1320 Collaborative Way, Leander, when it opens this fall, Leander ISD announced Jan. 22. Schoenfeld is currently on the coaching staff at Cedar Park High School and has worked for LISD since 2012. As the offensive coordinator for CPHS in 2015, he helped guide the Timberwolves to a 16-0 record and the 5A Division II State Championship. www.leanderisd.org
