The construction of “Big 6” continues with multiple lane closures scheduled throughout the week of May 26 in Bryan-College Station.
What you need to know
- May 26-27: Full closure, 8:30 p.m.-6:30 a.m.
- Southbound mainlane between University Drive and Southwest Parkway will be closed, along with the southbound entrance ramps north of University Drive and Harvey Road.
- The Northbound Texas Avenue exit ramp will be closed for the placement of concrete at 7:30 p.m.
- Officials recommend rerouting to Texas Avenue by turning left on Southwest Parkway.
- May 28-29: Full closure – 8:30 p.m. – 6:30 a.m.
- The southbound mainlane between University Drive and Southwest Parkway will be closed.
- The southbound entrance ramps north of University Drive and Harvey Road will also be closed, starting at 7:30 p.m.
The Texas Department of Transportation says drivers will have two lanes of access throughout the construction over the next six months. While main lane construction is the focus, crews will also be working on the construction of temporary pavement and retaining walls.
