The Texas Department of Transportation is continuing its work on the Hwy. 6 expansion project.
For the week of March 30, drivers should expect a single lane closure and a full closure.
What you need to know
- March 30: Single-lane closures along William J. Bryan Parkway frontage roads, 7:30 p.m.-6:30 a.m.
- TxDOT will close the left lane of the northbound frontage road between Austins Colony Parkway and William J. Bryan Parkway. The northbound on-ramp will stay open.
- The left lane of the southbound frontage road will be closed from William J. Bryan Parkway to Par Drive.
- TxDOT is also planning on shutting down the westbound left-turn lane on William J. Bryan Parkway.
- March 31: Full closure on Hwy. 6, 8:30 p.m.-6:30 a.m.
- Work on Hwy. 6 between Rock Prairie Road and Southwest Parkway will direct traffic to exit at the Rock Prairie Road off-ramp. Drivers may re-enter north of Southwest Parkway.
- The northbound on-ramps south of Barron Road and Southwest Parkway will also be closed off.
TxDOT will keep working on the main lanes of Hwy. 6 over the next six months and put up temporary pavement and retaining walls.
