Throughout the week of July 6, drivers should expect closures along Harvey Road heading towards South College Station during the "Big 6" construction.
What you need to know
- July 6-7: Full closure of the northbound main lanes from Barron Road to Harvey Road, 8:30 p.m.-6:30 a.m.
- Traffic will be directed to exit at the Rock Prairie Road off ramp and reenter south of Harvey Road.
- The ramps south of Barron Road, Harvey Mitchell Parkway and Southwest Parkway will also be closed starting at 7:30 p.m.
- July 8-10: Full closure of the southbound main lanes from Harvey Road to Texas Avenue, 8:30 p.m.-6:30 a.m.
- Traffic will be directed to exit at the Southwest Parkway off ramp and reenter at the Texas Avenue/Deacon Drive traffic signal.
- The ramps north of Harvey Road, Southwest Parkway and Harvey Mitchell Parkway will also be closed starting at 7:30 p.m.
What’s next
The Texas Department of Transportation will be maintaining two open main lanes in each direction during construction. A majority of the work will be on the main lanes, along with the construction of temporary pavement and retaining walls.
