College Station City Council members unanimously approved a letter of intent Feb. 26 with The Station Hospitality and Athletic Complex, a 90-acre proposed baseball and softball complex with lodging and amenities in Midtown.
The letter of intent will guide negotiations for future agreements with the developer, including economic development, real estate and lease agreements for the project, said Michael Ostrowski, College Station’s chief development officer, during the meeting.
In a nutshell
The Station Baseball LLC brought a proposal to the council in October for a nine-field baseball complex in Midtown, which would include a championship field as the home of The Brazos Valley Bombers—a summer collegiate baseball team, Community Impact previously reported. The complex is slated to include four full-size fields, five smaller ballfields, restrooms and concessions.
