CSISD approved its tax rate for the 2026-27 school year on Sept. 15 after multiple delays. Board President Kim Ege said the tax rate itself is not being raised; however, property values in the city have gone up, which can cause some people to pay more depending on their property.

College Station ISD proposes administrators take on substitute teaching tasks
CSISD is considering requiring administrators to take substitute teacher assignments after a review by the board of trustees during the Sept. 15 workshop meeting. The board said the inspiration comes from El Paso ISD, which will use administrative employees for substitute teaching as a cost-cutting measure.
