I’m running because Precinct 2 needs strong, accountable leadership. I’m a fifth-generation Brazos County native and a business owner. I understand budgets. I understand payroll. And I understand that taxpayers are not an open ATM for government. We need someone who will fight for homeowners, protect property rights, and manage …

What transportation projects would you like to see the county prioritize?

We need to focus on congestion relief and infrastructure that supports long-term growth. That includes improving major east-west corridors, addressing bottlenecks in high-growth areas, and ensuring new development pays its fair share for roads and drainage. We must prioritize projects that improve safety, reduce commute times, and protect neighborhoods.

If elected, how would you address the county’s ongoing population growth?

Growth is coming whether we like it or not. The question is whether we manage it or let it manage us. We need smart planning, strong coordination with cities, and clear expectations that development pays for the infrastructure it requires. How will you involve residents in decisions?

Transparency and communication are key. I will hold regular town halls, provide clear budget breakdowns, and make it easier for residents to understand where their tax dollars are going. People deserve to be heard before decisions are made, not after. Good government is open, responsive, and accountable.

What will be your biggest priority, if elected?

My biggest priority is putting people over politics at Commissioners Court. That means listening first, focusing on real community needs, and standing up to insider pressure. It starts with transparency and honest budgeting. Show the math, protect core services, and cut waste before it becomes higher taxes.

Why are you running for this position?

I am running because the Inner East Loop showed me how major decisions can move forward with little transparency. I saw how quickly plans affect homes, ranches, and livelihoods when the public is included too late. I will protect property rights and insist on openness.

What transportation projects would you like to see the county prioritize?

Brazos County should prioritize roads that keep up with growth, including safer east to west routes for the daily drive to Texas A&M. I am attending MPO and RMA meetings and will strengthen communication with TxDOT. We must prepare transparently for I-14 and 214.
