Hartt’s Barbecue to open brick-and-mortar location in Bryan

After building a following through catering and events across Bryan-College Station, Hartt’s Barbecue will open its first brick-and-mortar location in Bryan in late October.

What Hartt's offers

The Hartt family launched the business in fall 2023. What originally was a side barbecue venture grew into a full-service catering company serving weddings, corporate events and other gatherings throughout the region.

Hartt’s Barbecue offers barbecue favorites, including brisket, ribs, mac and cheese, burnt ends, potato salad and pulled pork sandwiches among many other menu items.

What’s new

Owners Lindsey and Mitch Hartt announced in May that the barbecue business plans to open a lunch restaurant this fall. The restaurant will be located in the Carter Creek Center, in the former home of Wokamole Healthy Cuisine, which closed last year.

Since announcing the project, the Hartt family has shared renovation updates on social media, documenting the transformation of the space, including removing interior arches, carpet and ceiling fans, constructing a new hallway and preparing floors for staining.

While catering will remain a major part of the business, Mitch Hartt told Community Impact the restaurant will allow them to take the next step in their goal of bringing people together through food and hospitality. The new location will also give customers a place to enjoy Hartt’s Barbecue during regular lunch service.

Before you go

The couple officially announced the opening in a Facebook post, letting the community know the anticipation is over. Hartt's will only be open for the lunch shift or until the restaurant sells out.
