A new and locally owned soul food restaurant serving comfort food has opened its doors in Bryan.

According to its Facebook page, the restaurant has been overwhelmed with customer support from residents and said it is “learning, listening and working."
“As a new business, every day is a learning experience, and we would rather take the time to make the necessary improvements than give you anything less than our best.”
Owner Jakeya Headge said she named the restaurant after her grandmother Josephine Harrison as a way to honor Harrison and a way to follow her dream.
