League City will remove all Flock Safety automated license plate reader cameras if voters in November say they do not want the city to continue using them.
In August, City Council voted to put the question of whether the city uses Flock cameras on the Nov. 3 ballot, in a non-binding special election, meaning, at the time, the city still retained the authority to determine policy, regardless of the outcome.
The details
The League City Council voted unanimously at its Oct. 13 meeting to direct the removal of the city’s 55 cameras if voters decide they do not want them.
