League City is making progress on its efforts to add two new fire stations to the city’s western side, starting with a feasibility study for Fire Station No. 7.
What you need to know
League City City Council, at its Feb. 11 meeting, voted unanimously to award a $24,000 feasibility study to BRW Architects to determine whether an area south of Muldoon Parkway on the city’s west side is suitable for building the city’s seventh fire station.
Officials have said they hope the new fire station will shave several minutes off the current 15-minute response time on the city’s western side, which remains undeveloped in many parts.
