In the interest of students' and staff's safety, the Clear Creek Independent School District has closed all schools for May 10, according to a short press release. The National Weather Service yesterday announced a flash flood watch for all of southeast Texas from 1 p.m. Thursday, May 9, through 7 p.m. Saturday, May 11. The service expects 5-8 inches of rain across widespread parts of southeast Texas, including Harris County, with totals reaching 9-12 inches in certain isolated areas. The first round of storms passed Thursday evening into Friday morning, but more storms are expected Friday evening.
