The two grants, announced Dec. 31, will provide support for two projects over 24 months. The first grant of $500,000 will support efforts to increase community engagement in local health and wellness initiatives across the Bastrop area, while the second grant, totaling $1 million, will work to grow the capacity of local entities addressing health care needs, according to the news release.
Executive Director Norma Mercado said the support from St. David’s will help Bastrop County Cares support community-led solutions, particularly by advancing health care accessibility and equity in the Bastrop area.
