Voters across Bastrop County approved the legal sale of all alcoholic beverages, including mixed drinks, in the Nov. 3 election, according to unofficial results.
Why it matters
Bastrop County Tourism and Economic Development Director Adena Lewis told Community Impact the elections were intended to align alcohol-sales boundaries, including those for areas annexed into cities or affected by precinct boundary changes.
As previously reported, some businesses could not apply for mixed-beverage licenses because of their location—despite being near other businesses that could.
