Austin Community College is kicking off the voting season with a rally at its Highland Campus Sept. 27.

The rally, which gives students, faculty, staff and community members a chance to register to vote before the Oct. 11 deadline, is being held in honor of National Voter Registration Day.

Bruce Elfant, the Travis County Tax Assessor-Collector and voter registrar, will be among the guests speaking during the rally.

Rally attendees can also check their voter status and learn more about what is needed to cast a vote in Texas. Refreshments will be provided.

The rally is held from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and is hosted by the ACC Student Government Association and the Community Engagement and Public Affairs Division.
