According to unofficial results with all precincts reporting Nov. 5, all three propositions for the Rollingwood bond elections have passed. Proposition 1 passed with 177 votes, or 53.15 percent, for and 156, or 46.85 percent, against. Proposition 2 passed with 230 for, or 69.28 percent, and 102 against, or 30.72 percent, the measure. Proposition 3 passed with 287 votes, or 86.45 percent, for and 45 votes, or 13.55 percent, against.

All results are unofficial until canvassed.

Jay Jayakuma and Amy Patillio will be Rollingwood City Council's newest members.

With aldermen John Hinton and Rob Hirschfeld not seeking additional terms on the council, Jayakuma and Patillio, along with Alderman Joe Basham, are running unopposed.

The three aldermen will serve two-year terms and join Rollingwood Mayor Barry Bone and council members Shelly Bain and Sara Hutson on the council.

Bond election

According to early voting results, Rollingwood residents are looking to approve two propositions of a bond election to be used for improving and upgrading water system facilities and municipal streets.

Proposition 1 proposed using $905,000 toward improving, relocating and extending water lines for the city as well as acquiring right of way for the lines.

Proposition 2 proposed using $1,965,000 for improving, repairing and resurfacing municipal streets in the city along with installing new signs and other improvements in the city's right of way.

Proposition 1 received 82 votes for and 57 votes against during early voting, while Proposition 2 received 96 votes for and 42 against during early voting.

A third proposition on the ballet would allow the city to renew a 1/4 of 1 percent sales and use tax to be used for maintenance and repair of local streets. Early voting on Proposition 3 saw 124 votes for and 15 against.
