Capital Metro operating Sunday service schedule for Thanksgiving

Capital Metro buses will operate on a Sunday service schedule for Thanksgiving, and no MetroRail trains will be running.

Austin residents planning to attend the annual ThunderCloud Subs Turkey Trot on Nov. 22 should also be aware of other Capital Metro bus route detours due to the race. These include routes 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 10, 17, 18, 19, 20, 30, 801 and 803.

Capital Metro will have temporary bus stops stationed on Congress Avenue near Third and Fourth streets and at 10th Street for northbound and soundbound trips on routes 1, 801 and 803. Residents can also use the transit agency’s online trip planner or call the customer service line at 512-474-1200 for assistance.

On Nov. 23, Capital Metro is also planning to operate its buses on a Saturday schedule but will not operate MetroRail, UT Shuttle, MetroExpress or E-Bus services.

Residents with existing MetroAccess trips scheduled for Nov. 22-23 will have their trips canceled but may call 512-852-7272 to reschedule.
