Two men were injured in a reported explosion in southwest Austin, the fourth explosion in the city in the month of March. First responders with Austin-Travis County EMS, the Austin Fire Department and the Austin Police Department responded to a possible explosion in southwest Austin in the 4800 block of Dawn Song Drive Sunday night. According to ATCEMS, two patients were transported to South Austin Medical Clinic with injuries that were reportedly serious but not expected to be life-threatening. Both patients are described as males in their 20s. Initially reports came in of two possible explosions. Austin Police asked residents in the area, near the entrance to the Travis Country neighborhood, to stay in their homes. Anthony Stephan House was killed on March 2 when he handled a package at his house in the 1100 block of Haverford Drive. Two more explosions occurred on March 12. The first killed 17-year-old Draylen William Mason and injured his 41-year old mother at their home in the 4800 block of Oldfort Drive. The second injured a 75-year-old woman in the 6700 block of Galindo Street. The FBI, Austin Police and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives are offering a $100,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone responsible for the explosions.
