The project widened Frate Barker Road to a total of five lanes east of Hewitt Lane to Manchaca Road and a three-lane section from east of Brodie Lane to Hewitt. The entire project area will have bicycle lanes and sidewalks on each side of the road. Construction resumed after a utility relocation delay and final paving is now complete. The safety-end treatments, concrete walls used to terminate stormwater piping installed under roadways, are complete and handrails were installed in February. Motorists are currently in the final configuration. The road is expected to be complete by the end of April.
