As early voting comes to a close nearly 5 percent of registered voters in Travis County have turned out to vote. As of Nov. 2, a total of 30,050 registered voters were counted at the polls. County Clerk Dana DeBeauvoir said she is expecting numbers to increase through the remainder of the election season and is anticipating close to a 10 percent total turnout. The November 7 ballot includes a number of local elections including the Travis County bond, Austin ISD bond and the City Council election in Sunset Valley. Seven statewide constitutional amendments are also on the ballot. In 2011, Travis County implemented countywide voting centers in an effort to make voting easier for residents. Through voting centers, registered Travis County voters can vote anywhere in the county on Election Day instead of in their assigned precinct. “We started this in 2011 and since then voters have gone crazy and just love it,” DeBeauvoir said. “This makes it easier for everyone. They can vote at a time and place that is convenient for them.” Election Day is Nov. 7. Polls are open from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Here is where you can vote on Election Day:
