- Oak Hill Parkway study
- A project team is refining two build alternatives for the Oak Hill Parkway study to bring long-term traffic relief to the intersection of Hwy. 71 and Hwy. 290. A no-build alternative is also under consideration. An environmental workshop took place May 23 at Oak Hill United Methodist Church.
- Timeline: An environmental study is expected to be complete in late 2017 or early 2018.

- Bicycle-pedestrian bridge
- Partnering with the city of Austin, the Texas Department of Transportation is constructing a bicycle-pedestrian bridge, which has a shared-use path along northbound Loop 1 lanes over the Barton Creek Greenbelt. Remaining work includes performing railing and lighting work for the bridge and completing the sidewalk tie-ins on either side of the project. All work is expected to be complete this summer.

- Manchaca Road-Slaughter Lane improvements
- The city of Austin partnered with TxDOT to deliver safety improvements at and near the intersection of Slaughter Lane and Manchaca Road. The entire project will be constructed in phases. The city will construct the proposed safety improvements on Slaughter Lane as well as replace the existing traffic signal at the intersection of Slaughter Lane and Manchaca Road and install a new traffic signal at the intersection of Manchaca and Monarch Drive. The new traffic signal is under construction and is expected to be operational in June 2018.
