• The Austin ISD board of trustees has a jam-packed agenda for tonight's work session. The trustees are scheduled to take action on a district of innovation plan, a purchase of property for a future Southeast high school, and a purchase of property for two parcels of land to expand and improve Bowie High School. A final update from the citizens committee responsible for updating the district's facility master plan is also on the agenda; however, the vote to approve the plan has been moved to April 3.   • A new office/warehouse development, Nutty Brown Business Park, is under construction at 12707 Nutty Brown Road, Austin, and is slated for completion by early August. The first tenant, a CrossFit gym, is expected to be open by early April.
  • A Petco will open at the end of this year or early next year in the Center of the Hills Retail Center at 7010 W. Hwy. 71, Austin.
  • St. Edwards University reveals preliminary campus master plan Preliminary designs for the St. Edward's University campus master plan include sidewalks along the campus borders.[/caption] Improvements to South Austin neighborhoods are expected as part of the preliminary master plan for St. Edward's University, including sidewalks, enhanced streetscapes, and crosswalks on St. Edwards Drive, the roadway that borders the university and the Sherwood Oaks neighborhood. The plan is slated for approval sometime this fall.
