SXSW 2016SXSW Volunteer Call

Crew shift selections for SXSW volunteers will take place this weekend. South by Southwest Conferences & Festivals is offering a multitude of volunteer opportunities ranging from festival production to conference activities, including registration, information, assisting with the trade show and technical support. Volunteers must be able to work a minimum of 24 hours during the event to earn SXSW wristbands and badges. Day and night positions are available. Applications are open online.

GAHCC Let's Win the Future Gala

The Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Foundation will hold its annual Let's Win the Future Gala to benefit local students through education initiatives. Fruit Tree Planting, Pruning and Care workshop

The Yard To Market Co-Op will host this event where fruit tree guru Zach Halfin will teach the best planting techniques for fruit trees, including site and variety selection. He will also cover the pruning of trees for optimal production and pest control techniques. $15-$20. Purchase tickets here.
