The League Kitchen & Tavern’s third location opened in the Belterra Village shopping center May 21. Owned by Tony Ciola and business partner Creed Ford, the duo hopes to become a neighborhood staple in the growing Dripping Springs community. The new restaurant is the fifth by the owners, who also own two Tony C’s locations in Bee Cave and the Avery Ranch neighborhood in North Austin. The first two locations for The League are in Lakeway and Avery Ranch. “We felt Dripping Springs had the same demographics and characteristics as the Lakeway and the Avery Ranch area,” Ciola said. “We prefer the suburbs to being [in downtown Austin] because you aren’t getting people who come in just once a month or so when they are around but instead get those who come in regularly once or twice a week.” He said the location also allows The League to get involved in a new community. He hopes to build relationships that will lead to hosting events and fundraisers that benefit local schools and organizations, he said. The Dripping Springs location has the same menu as the others, including options for dinner, happy hour, weekend brunch and dessert. However, Ciola said new features include a private dining room that can be reserved for parties of up to 25 people and a patio that can seat up to 40. “So far we are getting a great mix of families and groups of adults for happy hour,” he said. “Our team has done a fantastic job preparing for the opening, and the feedback is exactly what we were hoping.”
